Chief Financial Office comprises two functions:

Accounting Directorate:

  • performs the accounting operations of the university;
  • manages analytical and synthetic records of fixed assets, inventory items, materials on funding sources;
  • prepares and submits quarterly balance sheets;

Financial Directorate

  • ensures financial operations for all sources of funding set out in the annual budgets: basic and complementary funding, scientific research contracts from its own revenues (extra-budgetary revenues from fees and other provided revenues, income from self-financed activities, sponsorship);
  • ensures receipts and release of cash funds through the university cash desk, from all sources of financing, based on supporting documents approved by the authorizing officer.

Administrative Directorate

provides maintenance and development of the University infrastructure through the following services:

Administrative Service:

  • manages and administers assets of buildings;
  • ensures security and cleanliness in the buildings belonging to the university;
  • ensures organization of auctioning for:
  • rental of premises, acquisition of services, purchasing food
  • supervises ongoing contracts and draws up new ones following the award of tenders on the rental of spaces;
  • prepares the necessary documentation for payment of utilities and services;
  • supervises the collection of rents;

Security Service

 

Student Restaurants and Cafeterias Service:

consists of two students restaurants, three student cafeterias and provides food to students ensuring a rich and diverse menu.

 

"Iuliu Hațieganu" Sports Park Complex

  • provides accommodation to students and guests of Babeș-Bolyai University involved in various programmes of collaboration with the university;
  • manages and maintains on an area of approx. 24 hectares green spaces and sports facilities in the complex;
  • maintains and manages green spaces within faculties;
  • is responsible for carrying out activities resulting from the letting of sports facilities, related to the schedule of teaching activities of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport.

Arcalia Complex Service:

  • provides accommodation to students and guests of Babeș-Bolyai University involved in various programmes of collaboration with the university;
  • manages and maintains a dendrological park with a surface of approximately 16.5 hectares;
  • ensures the necessary infrastructure for specialised practical activities of students and for conducting scientific symposiums, conferences, summer schools, etc.;

Copying and Printing Service:

  • creates booklets, university courses, forms necessary for the effective procedure of the activity in the university. These prints are paperbacks, cut and bound within the same service;
  • contributes to publishing Studia magazine.

Human Resources Directorate  
assists the entire staff of the university by its two services:

Human Resources Service:

  • ensures the implementation of institutional strategies and policies in the field of human resources,
  • ensures personnel records of the institution in accordance with statutory provisions and internal regulations,
  • organizes the recruitment and selection process for auxiliary teaching and non-teaching vacant positions,
  • ensures the development and management of documentation related to signing, modification, suspension or termination of individual employment contracts,
  • conducts examinations for promotion to superior stages for auxiliary and non-teaching staff,
  • coordinates the process of development and revision of job descriptions and individual performance assessment of auxiliary teaching and non-teaching staff,
  • ensures filling out and submitting the electronic register of employees and the Declaration on obligations to pay social contributions, income tax and nominal record of insured persons (D112),

Payroll Service:

  • prepares payroll documents in compliance with the regulations in force,
  • maintains information on leave and remuneration rights,
  • calculates and pays monthly salary rights of employees,
  • prepares various certificates attesting the salary income earned by employees,
  • develops recommendations and verifies the legal ground of drawing staff establishments,
  • administers the university staff remuneration by the cards policy.
