I studied here, here I had the pleasure to work with often wonderful students and with talented co-workers in the scientific research. The Babeş-Bolyai University offered me the chance of affirmation and the best facilities it had, including the chance to upgrade my training abroad. I returned to Babeş-Bolyai University every time my collaboration with colleagues from many countries took me to other parts of the world. The Babeş-Bolyai University is my life, my career, my home."

"While studying in the Physics Department at Babes-Bolyai University, it was difficult to grasp the impact that this educational institution was having on my life. At the time it was all about the experience. It was the experience of learning from talented educators, the experience of pursuing research early on alongside great scientists and mentors, the experience of sharing dreams and knowledge with generations of gifted students. It was sometime later when I realized that my years at UBB gave me the tools, provided me with the knowledge and nurtured my passion to pursue dreams unconstrained by a single field of study, a single latitude, longitude or altitude. Under its roof, grounded in its tradition, next to my friends in the class of 1993, I prepared for more than just a degree.
