System
3. Tutoring is based on the tutors activity, under the guidance of coordinators and under the supervision of a vice-dean in each faculty.
4. The tutorial system is mandatory for every faculty at Bachelor’s level. The masters-level tutoring system is optional.
5. At the proposal of the Heads of Department the Teaching Council Bureau of each faculty will appoint the tutors for each academic specialty, year of study, line of study and groups so that there is at least one tutor assigned to every 60 students. Tutors must be appointed at the beginning of each academic year, until September 30th.
Tutors assigned to each year of study, for each line of study, from a specialization, will work under the guidance of a coordinator, appointed by the dean of the faculty from the teachers who teach to the respective year. Coordinators will establish meetings with tutors on a monthly basis, or whenever deemed necessary.
The activity of the coordinators assigned to each line and year of study falls under the direction of the vice-dean responsible for students relations and student issues. The latter will have an overall vision on tutoring at faculty level, following the biannual meetings to be organized with the tutors’ coordinators. In the first week of October, the vice-dean responsible for students relations will organize an orientation meeting with the tutors and coordinators assigned by the Dean’s office for the current academic year.
6. A directory of tutoring contacts will be created and accesibly displayed in every faculty, containing the list of tutors for each specialty, year, line of study and group with their contact details (office, email, telephone).
Students will be encouraged to submit questions and request support from the tutor mainly electronically. Electronic tutoring, as a modern form of expression of personal tutoring, will be encouraged by any means.
7. A tutors forum will be created on the university website, which is meant to indicate, and discuss the most common and most important student issues and concerns which are relevant to the tutoring activity.
