Tutoring is a system and a programme meant to offer support and counselling to students in order to facilitate their integration in the higher education, offering advice in their choosing the appropriate didactic, cultural and social options that are specific for the student life and to encourage the sharing of student knowledge and skills, improving academic achievement.  The tutoring system encourages students’ communication and trust regarding the University and academia.

Programme

8. Tutoring consists of activities of personal communication of a tutor with the students which are assigned to the tutor, either by meeting or by e-mails.  
Throughout his/her activity, the tutor must be communicative, showing patience, concern, and openness, being available and sympathetic with the student’s issues, inspiring the latter with confidence in the usefulness of his/her undertaking.
9. The two-hour weekly schedule must be strictly respected, as posted (in the faculty stipulator of tutorial contacts). Each meeting with a student must last at least 10 minutes.
10. The University organizes regularly (once every six months) a training programme for tutors, during which they are informed on the specific procedures of their activity.
