Institute of Turkish and Central-Asian Studies (ITCAS)

The Institute of Turkish and Central-Asian Studies (ITCAS) is the first of its kind after the ephemeral one created in Iaşi by Franz Babinger in 1940. The Institute gathers the top researchers in the country, and the activity is supervised by high profile scientists  within the International Advisory Board.

ITCAS is meant to familiarize the scholars and the public with the values of the Turkish history, culture and civilization, even back to its roots in the Orient and Central Asia, but also providing political and economic projections concerning the evolution of these regions. The institute provides qualified services and expertise in fields like higher education, diplomacy, politics, journalism, and business. ITCAS is also committed to community service by educating all those interested in this area.
